Adrenal Stress Profile

Saliva test · collected at home

Cortisol is your main stress hormone. In a healthy rhythm it peaks shortly after you wake, to get you going, then falls steadily through the day so you can wind down and sleep. Long-term stress can push this rhythm too high, wear it down too low, or turn it upside down.

This simple saliva test measures your cortisol at set times across the day, using small samples collected at home, to show the shape of your own daily rhythm.

When cortisol runs high

  • Trouble falling asleep, or feeling “wired but tired”
  • Weight gain around the middle
  • Raised blood sugar and sugar cravings
  • Feeling anxious, irritable or on edge
  • Lower immunity and slower healing

When cortisol runs low

  • Hard to get going in the morning
  • An energy crash in the afternoon
  • Low mood and motivation
  • Struggling to cope with everyday stress
  • Slow recovery from exercise or illness
Why it matters for body and mind. Cortisol affects blood sugar, sleep, digestion, immunity, testosterone and the brain’s centres for memory and mood. When its rhythm is out of step, you can feel it both physically and mentally, which is why it is part of every Essential Package.

Comprehensive Cardiovascular Assessment

Fasting blood test · analysed by Genova Diagnostics

Many people who have a heart attack have cholesterol in the normal range. That is because cholesterol is only part of the picture. This assessment measures the deeper drivers of heart and circulation problems: inflammation, fatty deposits in the arteries, damage to the lining of blood vessels, clotting and long-term blood sugar.

Together they show your true cardiovascular risk, often years before problems appear, while there is plenty of time to act.

14heart markers, plus an overall risk index

What it measures

Lipid markers

The main fats carried in your blood, and how likely they are to build up in artery walls.

  • Total cholesterol
  • LDL cholesterol
  • HDL cholesterol
  • Triglycerides

Lipoprotein markers

The particles that carry cholesterol around the body. They show far more than cholesterol alone.

  • Apolipoprotein B
  • Apolipoprotein A-1
  • Lipoprotein(a)

Independent risk factors

Risk factors that can raise heart risk even when cholesterol looks normal.

  • hs-CRP
  • Homocysteine
  • Fibrinogen
  • HbA1c

Ratios

The balance between harmful and protective markers, which predicts risk better than any single number.

  • Total cholesterol / HDL
  • Triglycerides / HDL
  • Apo B / Apo A-1

Markers most routine checks miss

  • Apolipoprotein BCounts the particles that can carry cholesterol into artery walls.
  • Apolipoprotein A-1The main protein in protective HDL, which helps clear cholesterol away.
  • Lipoprotein(a)A largely inherited particle that encourages fatty deposits in arteries. Most routine checks never measure it.
  • hs-CRPA sensitive marker of inflammation, which plays a central part in damage to blood vessels.
  • HomocysteineRises when B12, folate or B6 run low, and is linked to damage to the lining of blood vessels.
  • FibrinogenA clotting protein. High levels make blood thicker and clots more likely.

Your Cardiovascular Risk Index

All of your results are combined into a single score, showing how your risk factors add up together rather than one at a time.

Before your test. You will need to fast overnight for at least 12 hours. Please tell us about any medication and supplements you take, especially aspirin or cholesterol-lowering drugs. The sample has to be processed within minutes, so we arrange your blood draw for you, Monday to Wednesday.

Your results guide a personal plan of nutrition, lifestyle and targeted support to improve your cardiovascular health.

Male Hormone Profile

Morning blood test, when testosterone is at its highest

Testosterone affects far more than sex drive. It shapes your energy, mood, motivation, muscle, body fat, bones and heart health. But a single testosterone number can be misleading: what matters is how much your body can actually use, how it is being converted, and whether the signals from your brain are getting through.

This profile looks at the whole hormone system, from the brain’s signals to the testes, through to the proteins that carry testosterone and the hormones it turns into.

10hormone markers

Core hormone and related markers

  • Total testosteroneAll the testosterone in your blood, both the part bound to proteins and the part that is free.
  • Free and bioavailable testosteroneThe share of testosterone that is unbound and available for your body to use.
  • SHBGSex hormone-binding globulin, a protein made by the liver that binds testosterone and controls how much stays free.
  • AlbuminA blood protein that loosely binds testosterone, needed to work out how much is available.
  • Oestradiol (E2)A form of oestrogen made from testosterone, checked for hormone balance, mood and breast tissue changes.
  • LH and FSHSignals from the pituitary gland in the brain that tell the testes to make testosterone and sperm.
  • ProlactinA pituitary hormone that can point to underlying hormone or fertility problems.
  • DHEA-SAn adrenal hormone the body uses as a building block for testosterone and other androgens.
Why it matters. Low or unbalanced hormones can show up as low energy and drive, poor stamina, low mood, weight gain around the middle, loss of muscle and poor sleep. Measuring the whole system shows not just whether there is a problem, but where it starts, so your plan can target the cause.

Methylation Panel Optional

An optional add-on to the Executive Package

Methylation is a chemical process that runs constantly in every cell. It helps make brain chemicals such as serotonin and dopamine, process hormones, repair DNA, support detoxification and keep homocysteine in check. When it runs poorly, it can affect mood, energy, focus and long-term heart health.

This optional panel shows how well your methylation is working, so nutrition and supplements, such as B vitamins, can be matched to your needs. We can discuss whether it is right for you at your consultation.

If we find anything that needs medical attention, we'll refer you to your GP straight away with a written summary.

Questions

Do I need to fast before the blood test?

Yes. Your blood is taken in the morning after an overnight fast, usually between 7 and 11 am, because testosterone and insulin results are most accurate then.

Is this instead of my GP?

No. We work alongside your GP. If we find anything that needs medical attention, we refer you with a written summary.

Can my partner book it for me?

Yes. Many MOTs are booked by partners or family. We'll just need your consent before the assessment.

Do you prescribe testosterone?

No. If treatment may be appropriate, we refer you to your GP or a specialist.

Can I do this from anywhere in the UK?

Yes. The Remote MOT runs by video, with blood taken at a partner site near you or with a home finger-prick kit.

How does the home blood test work?

We post you a kit with clear instructions. You take a small finger-prick sample in the morning and post it back to the laboratory in the prepaid envelope.
