Adrenal Stress Profile

Saliva test · collected at home

Cortisol is your main stress hormone. In a healthy rhythm it peaks shortly after you wake, to get you going, then falls steadily through the day so you can wind down and sleep. Long-term stress can push this rhythm too high, wear it down too low, or turn it upside down.

This simple saliva test measures your cortisol at set times across the day, using small samples collected at home, to show the shape of your own daily rhythm.

When cortisol runs high

  • Trouble falling asleep, or feeling “wired but tired”
  • Weight gain around the middle
  • Raised blood sugar and sugar cravings
  • Feeling anxious, irritable or on edge
  • Lower immunity and slower healing

When cortisol runs low

  • Hard to get going in the morning
  • An energy crash in the afternoon
  • Low mood and motivation
  • Struggling to cope with everyday stress
  • Slow recovery from exercise or illness
Why it matters for body and mind. Cortisol affects blood sugar, sleep, digestion, immunity, sex hormones and the brain’s centres for memory and mood. When its rhythm is out of step, you can feel it both physically and mentally, which is why it is part of every Essential Package.

Comprehensive Cardiovascular Assessment

Fasting blood test · analysed by Genova Diagnostics

Many people who have a heart attack have cholesterol in the normal range. That is because cholesterol is only part of the picture. This assessment measures the deeper drivers of heart and circulation problems: inflammation, fatty deposits in the arteries, damage to the lining of blood vessels, clotting and long-term blood sugar.

For women, heart risk rises after menopause, as the protective effect of oestrogen falls. These markers show your true cardiovascular risk, often years before problems appear, while there is plenty of time to act.

14heart markers, plus an overall risk index

What it measures

Lipid markers

The main fats carried in your blood, and how likely they are to build up in artery walls.

  • Total cholesterol
  • LDL cholesterol
  • HDL cholesterol
  • Triglycerides

Lipoprotein markers

The particles that carry cholesterol around the body. They show far more than cholesterol alone.

  • Apolipoprotein B
  • Apolipoprotein A-1
  • Lipoprotein(a)

Independent risk factors

Risk factors that can raise heart risk even when cholesterol looks normal.

  • hs-CRP
  • Homocysteine
  • Fibrinogen
  • HbA1c

Ratios

The balance between harmful and protective markers, which predicts risk better than any single number.

  • Total cholesterol / HDL
  • Triglycerides / HDL
  • Apo B / Apo A-1

Markers most routine checks miss

  • Apolipoprotein BCounts the particles that can carry cholesterol into artery walls.
  • Apolipoprotein A-1The main protein in protective HDL, which helps clear cholesterol away.
  • Lipoprotein(a)A largely inherited particle that encourages fatty deposits in arteries. Most routine checks never measure it.
  • hs-CRPA sensitive marker of inflammation, which plays a central part in damage to blood vessels.
  • HomocysteineRises when B12, folate or B6 run low, and is linked to damage to the lining of blood vessels.
  • FibrinogenA clotting protein. High levels make blood thicker and clots more likely.

Your Cardiovascular Risk Index

All of your results are combined into a single score, showing how your risk factors add up together rather than one at a time.

Before your test. You will need to fast overnight for at least 12 hours. Please tell us about any medication and supplements you take, especially aspirin or cholesterol-lowering drugs. The sample has to be processed within minutes, so we arrange your blood draw for you, Monday to Wednesday.

Your results guide a personal plan of nutrition, lifestyle and targeted support to improve your cardiovascular health.

Female Hormone Profile

Blood test, timed to your cycle, or at any time after menopause

Your hormones affect far more than your periods. Oestrogen and progesterone shape your mood, sleep, energy, weight, skin, bones, heart and brain. Their balance shifts through each month, and again through perimenopause and menopause, which is why so many symptoms come and go, or change with age.

This profile looks at the whole hormone system, from the brain’s signals to the ovaries, through to the adrenal hormones and the proteins that control how much of each hormone your body can use.

8hormone markers

Core hormone and related markers

  • Oestradiol (E2)The main oestrogen. It affects your cycle, mood, sleep, skin, bones, heart and brain.
  • ProgesteroneBalances oestrogen and supports calm, sleep and a regular cycle. Timed in your cycle, it also shows whether you have ovulated.
  • LHA signal from the pituitary gland in the brain that triggers ovulation each month.
  • FSHA pituitary signal that rises as the ovaries slow down, and helps show where you are in the move to menopause.
  • TestosteroneWomen make it too. It supports drive, energy, muscle, bone and mood.
  • SHBGSex hormone-binding globulin, a protein made by the liver that controls how much oestrogen and testosterone stay free and active.
  • DHEA-SAn adrenal hormone the body uses to make other sex hormones. It often falls with long-term stress.
  • ProlactinA pituitary hormone that can affect your cycle, fertility and breast tissue when it runs high.
Why it matters. Hormone imbalance can show up as PMS, irregular or heavy periods, hot flushes and night sweats, poor sleep, anxiety or low mood, brain fog, weight gain and low libido. Measuring the whole system shows not just whether there is a problem, but where it starts, so your plan can target the cause.

Methylation Panel Optional

An optional add-on to the Executive Package

Methylation is a chemical process that runs constantly in every cell. It helps make brain chemicals such as serotonin and dopamine, process hormones, repair DNA, support detoxification and keep homocysteine in check. When it runs poorly, it can affect mood, energy, focus and long-term heart health.

This optional panel shows how well your methylation is working, so nutrition and supplements, such as B vitamins, can be matched to your needs. We can discuss whether it is right for you at your consultation.

Questions

Do I need to time the blood test to my cycle?

Sometimes. If your periods are regular, some hormone tests are best done on a particular day. We will tell you exactly when to test.

Is this instead of my GP?

No. We work alongside your GP. If we find anything that needs medical attention, we refer you with a written summary.

Do you prescribe HRT?

No. HRT is prescribed by your GP or a menopause clinic. We can support you alongside it and share our findings with them.

Can I do this from anywhere in the UK?

Yes. The remote assessment runs by video, with blood taken at a partner site near you or with a home finger-prick kit.

How does the home blood test work?

We post you a kit with clear instructions. You take a small finger-prick sample and post it back to the laboratory in the prepaid envelope.

Can I bring someone with me?

Yes. You are welcome to bring a partner, friend or family member, in clinic or on a video call.
